Choosing the right ACP sheet is not only about colour or price. It is also about where the panel will be used, how tall the building is, what alloy is used in the skin, what paint system protects the surface, and what kind of long-term performance the project needs. For example, our product sheet clearly separates interior-only grades, interior-plus-exterior grades up to 10 m, stronger exterior grades above 10 m, and a 6 mm option for exterior use up to 15 m.

Full Technical Specifications

When reading the table, focus on five things first: application, thickness, skin thickness, alloy grade, and paint type. These are usually the biggest decision-makers. If the project is interior, polyester-based options may be enough. If the project is exterior, coating choice becomes more important, fluoropolymers like PVDF and FEVE are for exterior applications, while modified polyesters such as SDP can also be used for exterior use. Polyester is positioned for interior applications only.
If the project is above 10 m, do not treat all ACP sheets as equal. The technical manual recommends 4 mm ACP with 0.5 mm top and bottom coil for exterior use, and specifically states that 3 mm ACP with 0.25 mm coil should not be used for buildings beyond 10 m height.

Understanding Alloy & Coating Choices

Know Why Aluminium Alloy Grade Matters

When people compare ACP sheets, they usually look at thickness first. But alloy grade matters a lot too. The alloy affects strength, workability, durability, and how well the panel performs in exterior conditions over time. In our technical handbook we clearly state that AA3105 and AA5005 were chosen as the best alloys for exterior ACP conditions and are widely used for that reason. That is why many of the stronger exterior-facing grades in the range move away from AA1100 and into AA3105 or AA5005. AA3105 is a smart exterior-grade choice for many common facade projects. It offers a good balance of strength, corrosion resistance, bending ability, and workability. You can see AA3105 in grades like AL33D, AL43D, AL 445, AL4E, AL45, and AL65. AA5005 takes that conversation a step further. It is the upgraded alloy used in AL45D, making it a strong fit for tougher environments where corrosion resistance becomes more important, coastal belts, humid cities, and projects exposed to harsher atmospheric conditions.
In simple terms, AA1100 can work for many basic and general-use panels, but AA3105 and AA5005 matter when the project demands better exterior performance. If AL45 is a strong premium exterior choice, AL45D is the more upgraded route when the environment is tougher.

How to Choose the Right ACP Sheet for Your Project

    For Interior or Indoor Projects

    For fully indoor applications like shops, offices, false ceilings, and partitions, you usually do not need an exterior-grade paint system. In such cases, AL-312 or AL-32 are suitable budget-friendly choices, designed for interior use with polyester paint — sufficient where weather resistance is not required.

    Check the Building Height: ≤10 m or >10 m

    For exterior use up to 10 m, options like AL-3C, AL-33, AL-43, and AL-43D can work well for storefronts, low-rise commercial buildings, and ground-floor facades — with SDP or PVDF coatings and FRB1 core recommended. But once the building goes above 10 m, grades like AL-45, AL-45D, AL-4E, or AL-65 are more suitable, with 4 mm ACP and 0.5 mm skins, PVDF for long-term weather resistance, and FR B or FR A2 core as the safer fire-retardant choice. Important: 3 mm ACP with 0.25 mm coil should not be used beyond 10 m.

    For Auto / Petroleum / Corporate Projects

    For auto showrooms, petrol pumps, and corporate facades where brand image depends on lasting colour consistency and gloss retention, AL33D and AL43D are strong choices. Both grades come with PVDF coating (optional FEVE), AA3105 alloy, multiple width options, and a 15-year warranty — well-suited for premium low-rise exterior applications up to 10 m.

    Polyester is for interior use. SDP can work for many exterior applications. PVDF and FEVE belong to the fluoropolymer category for exterior use, where stronger weather performance is needed. The paint or coating should be chosen based on sunlight exposure, humidity, building height, coastal location, and expected facade life.
